A Very Happy New year from all at Holtwood Methodist Church. It was great to see so many people at our ‘Carols around the Tree’ on Christmas Eve (albeit indoors because of the rain!) and at our Christmas Morning Service. And that’s not all …… we’re there every week so please feel free to join us at 10.45 on any Sunday morning. The tea & coffee is pretty good as well!

Christmas Eve at 6.00 – Carols around the Tree on the lawn with Revd Nigel Deller followed by seasonal refreshments;
Christmas Day – Christmas Morning with Colin Besant – Bring along one of your presents to ‘show and share!’

On Saturday 2nd December between 2.00 & 2.30 HMB will be singing carols outside M&S at Castlepoint in Bournemouth. Then, between 2.30 & 3.30, Peter Aston will be singing carols and other seasonal songs at ASDA at Castlepoint. Come on down for a good old sing!

This year Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday and at 6.00 you’re invited to ‘Carols around the Tree’ on the lawn at Holtwood Methodist Church.  After a good sing we’ll adjourn to the Hall for seasonal refreshments.  What a great way to celebrate Christmas Eve together!

Coming up at Holtwood on 26th November and 3rd December – a two part service with HMB looking at, on the 26th, Stir-Up Sunday and what it could mean for us today and then, on the 3rd, how Stir-Up Sunday relates to the beginning of Advent. Both services start at 6.00 – it would be great to have a full church!

Receiving a cheque for £380 for the Friday Night Bus from Wimborne Waitrose on 18th July, 2017. Thank you Waitrose and for all their customers who chose to support the Tea & Toast Bus in this way.

 

Here we are on the lawn at Holtwood on 16th July, 2017 celebrating Rural Mission Sunday. We thanked God for giving us so many opportunities as a church in the community – and also asked for guidance on how we should outreach in the future.

 

 

Thank you to all who either helped to organise and/or supported our Summer Fair which raised about £1,200 towards essential work needed to our premises and also to support the Friday Night Tea & Toast Bus in Wimborne Square. Here are some pics

Here we are on Holt Village Green with friends from Woodlands and local Anglican churches for our annual Songs of Praise – a glorious evening with great singing!

On Sunday 9th July at 6.00 we’ll join with our local Anglican and Woodlands Methodist friends on Holt Village Green for our annual open air ‘Songs of Praise’. The evening will be led by Revd Suzie Allen and Revd Nigel Deller with music by HMB. If it’s wet we’ll be in St James’ Church at Holt – but hopefully we’ll see you on the Green in the sunshine!
