Carols around the Tree – Covid Update

‘Carols around the Tree’ is still very much on at Holtwood Methodist Church front lawn on Sunday 19th at 5.00 to be led by Revd Nick Wood with HMB. In the light of the latest Government guidance, however, the difficult but sensible decision has been made not to follow-up with refreshments in the Hall. But do come along for a good sing to kick-off our Christmas – and afterwards there might even be a mince pie or three available on the lawn as well!

Carols around the Tree

A date for your diary – on Sunday 19th December at 5.00 you’re invited to join us as we gather around the Christmas Tree on the front lawn at Holtwood to sing some favourite carols. This will be followed by seasonal refreshments in the hall.

Special Service of Thanksgiving

On Sunday 31st October at 10.45 Revd Nick Wood will be leading our Thanksgiving Service for the lives of those dear friends lost during the pandemic – but to whom we didn’t have an opportunity to say a proper ‘farewell’. If you think that this service might be helpful to you in your own circumstances, then please do feel welcome to join us.

Covid Restrictions – Our latest news

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement about delaying the further easing of Covid restrictions, we at Holtwood Methodist Church have decided to continue our live streamed services at 10.45am each Sunday and have provisionally agreed to resume our 6.00pm services in September. Hopefully by September we’ll also be able to resume bookings for the hire of Holtwood Community Hall by other organisations or private groups. As ever, however, we’ll be guided by the science and future Government announcements. We’ll bring you further updates in the coming weeks.

Internet Failed!

We have some bad news and some Good News! The bad news is that, following work by BT Openreach this week, we don’t have an internet connection from Holtwood Methodist Church at the moment so our Easter Celebration at 10.45 tomorrow cannot be streamed live. Hopefully it can be recorded and posted on Facebook so that you can catch up with it later in the day. And the Good News for tomorrow? Christ has Risen – Allelujah!
