On Saturday 19th March there will be a Jumble Sale in Holt Village Hall in aid of Holtwood Methodist Church and local community groups. All being well weather-wise, the plan is to hold it outside – do come along between 11am & 3pm and pick up a bargain!

Our next Church Council meeting will be at Holtwood on Wednesday 9th February at 7.30. The meeting is open to all church members and Church Council members may vote on any matters arising at the meeting. So – come along and find out just how much dedicated work for the Lord goes on ‘behind the scenes’ and perhaps offer yourself as a Church Council member at our Annual Church Meeting later in the year!

At the beginning of the New Year we had hoped to announce our return to share short times of worship with the residents of Streets Meadow. Alas, given the current Covid situation, this will not be possible in January or in February and, after then, we’ll review the position with the management at Streets Meadow.

On Christmas Day at 9.30, at Holtwood Methodist Church, Revd Nick Wood will be leading a family Christmas Celebration and then on Boxing Day at 10.45 Colin Besant will be leading our celebrations. A big ‘Thank You’ to all who joined us for ‘Carols around the Tree’ on Sunday evening on the lawn at Holtwood and for singing so well – whether you travelled from nearby or from afar. It was wonderful to share this time together with so many of you – have a truly Joyful Christmas!

‘Carols around the Tree’ is still very much on at Holtwood Methodist Church front lawn on Sunday 19th at 5.00 to be led by Revd Nick Wood with HMB. In the light of the latest Government guidance, however, the difficult but sensible decision has been made not to follow-up with refreshments in the Hall. But do come along for a good sing to kick-off our Christmas – and afterwards there might even be a mince pie or three available on the lawn as well!

A date for your diary – on Sunday 19th December at 5.00 you’re invited to join us as we gather around the Christmas Tree on the front lawn at Holtwood to sing some favourite carols. This will be followed by seasonal refreshments in the hall.
