Holtwood Summer Fete was held in glorious sunshine on Saturday 3rd July, 2010 and was opened officially by Marilyn Barber, News Editor of the Stour & Avon Community Magazine. The fete started with a sizzling barbecue and there was be entertainment throughout the day. Artistes appearing were singer/songwriter Rebecca Walker-Jones, Bournemouth Christian rock band Route 66, Pete & Sarah Emberley and Sharon Pearcey, Peter Aston & Becky Shears and the Dotty Crotchets ceilidh band. The afternoon also featured an exclusive preview of the new Wimborne Community Theatre production "Source - Tales from the Pump House" Then to complete a great afternoon there were cream teas and local Holt Forest strawberries.
Hundreds of people took the time to attend the fete which raised over £1,430 to be shared between church funds and WaterAid, plus a donation to our new parent, baby & toddler group Little Angels - more details from Charlotte Frampton on 07775 677145 or

Peter Aston, a Christian singer/songwriter based at Holtwood, has just released his new album "We can all be free ..." which was launched at the Christian Resources Exhibition at Sandown Park. The Hot Potato Club will resume on Friday 1st October with a charity night in aid of Jumbalance which makes travel possible for seriously ill people or those with disabilities. The guest speaker will be Declan Turner. Our own Sophie Hicks will also be speaking about her recent work in Uganda with World Challenge Organisation.
